A beloved Father’s Day tradition celebrating the creativity of North America’s indigenous peoples, the 24th annual Native Contemporary Arts Festival showcases a diverse program of native music, dance, spoken word, visual artists, vendors and native crafts. Curated by Janeen Antoine (Sicangu Lakota), American Indian Contemporary Arts founder and producer of the weekly Bay Native Circle airing on KPFA 94.1.

San Francisco Parks Alliance and DoTheBay are thrilled to announce 2022 Sundown Cinema, a free outdoor movie series spread across iconic San Francisco parks.
UPCOMING EVENT: Friday, June 17, 2022 at The Presidio (6:30 pm – The Rock)
EVENT INFORMATION:
- Event starts at 6:30pm. Film screening begins after sunset (around 8:30pm). Arrive early to grab a seat!
- Guests are encouraged to walk, bicycle or take public transportation to all Sundown Cinema park screenings.
- It can get chilly out there, so bring a blanket and cozy clothes to keep warm.
- Please leave your alcohol and weapons at home. Pack out what you pack in.
- Let’s gather safely! SF Parks Alliance is monitoring the situation closely with respect to COVID-19. In working closely with the San Francisco DPH, we will continue to adapt when necessary to make sure that this is a safe event for all and held in accordance with local health guidelines. The Box Shop is hosting an ‘Official’ Mural Project opening celebration, Box Shop Mural Fest on June 11-12, 2022 and invites you to join us to view and celebrate over 80 colorful, beautiful mural installations covering the Box Shop’s exterior and inner yard in Bayview-Hunter’s Point, San Francisco!
The Festival will host live art-making, performances, mural tours, and more – meet the muralists and Box Shop creators.

Celebrate local Black-owned businesses at the 2nd annual Juneteenth on the Waterfront on Saturday, June 11! Kick off a month of Juneteenth celebrations in San Francisco with a day of fun, community, and delicious, handcrafted food at the Embarcadero Ferry Terminal Plaza (south of the Ferry Building) and Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Entry is free and open to the public, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Juneteenth on the Waterfront is cosponsored by MegaBlack SF, Foodwise, and Port of San Francisco, in partnership with En2action/Ujamaa Kitchen, Fillmore Merchants and Neighborhood Collaborative, La Cocina, Mandela Partners, and SF Black Wallstreet.
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, celebrates the anniversary of Black emancipation in the United States. It is honored on the anniversary of June 19, 1865, when freedom from slavery was proclaimed in the state of Texas.
The celebration is in the Ferry Terminal Plaza (adjacent to the Ferry Building) for fun family activities and music:
- Black history coloring activity and mancala game at the Foodwise Kids tent
- Seeing Seeds through Beads: A Bracelet Making Activity Honoring Traditional Foods in Black Culture with Gina Wright

The Warriors are in the NBA Finals! Chase Center is excited to welcome fans to Thrive City for outdoor watch parties for both Warriors NBA Finals home and away games.
Fans watching games at Thrive City are required to register via Eventbrite. Fans without an Eventbrite ticket showing proof of registration for the applicable game will be denied entry. In addition, registration does not guarantee admission. Space is limited and subject to availability. First come, first served.
The NBA Finals viewings at Thrive City will be standing room only with two (2) outdoor locations for fans to enjoy the game: the West Plaza (our main west-facing videoboard) and on the Esplanade (our north-facing additional viewing location near Harmonic Brewing). Enhanced security protocols will be in place for these NBA Finals viewings, and registered fans must enter from the ramp on 3rd and 16th Street (next to Philz Coffee).
All pets must be on a leash at all times.
The following items are prohibited inside Thrive City:
- Weapons and dangerous devices of any kind including, but not limited to, pepper spray, flares and fireworks, tasers/stun guns
- Bottles or cans
- All bags
- Coolers
- Blankets
- Lawn chairs
- Alcohol, cans, bottles, flasks, coolers (bag check will be available)
- Drugs, illegal substances
- Pamphlets, product samples
- Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, chairs

- All Signs/flags/banners/posters will be inspected by GSW management

The annual Muni Heritage event is an opportunity to ride special vintage transit vehicles that are rarely seen on the streets of San Francisco. The festivities are located at the San Francisco Railway Museum at 77 Steuart Street, near the Ferry Building and Embarcadero Plaza.
Activities will include:
- Rides on unique historic streetcars, buses, and cable cars
- Exhibits and stationary vintage vehicles on the outdoor plaza outside of the San Francisco Railway Museum
- Free admission to the SF Railway Museum
