Sunset Mercantile was founded in 2014 by two local sunset mamas, Angie Petitt-Taylor and Laura Peschke-Zingler, fueled by an awareness of the need for a pop-up venue to support the blossoming business ideas of local community members—as well as lend support to the already established local small businesses and to fill the need for more unique and family-friendly events in the western side of our city. The original vision of a festive pop-up open-air metropolis has evolved into a much-beloved local destination in which we invite one and all to Come Eat, Drink, Shop, Play, Connect, and BE LOCAL!
A weekly market featuring farmers, ranchers, food artisans, live music, children’s activities, vendors, makers, merchants, artists, and local organizations. Explore all the amazing local businesses surrounding the farmers market at sunsetstrong.com.

“ODC is a neighborhood gem, an international organization with deep roots in our community. ODC is home to creativity and artistry. It is a place of joy and innovation; a place to venture out, and embrace the unexpected. That’s what great art does.” – Laurene Powell Jobs
“ODC is a national treasure we can claim as our own. For over 50 years, through pandemics, earthquakes, recessions and droughts, ODC’s resilient artistic magic continues to inspire and thrill us.
Great talent alone does not sustain a community nonprofit. The combination and collaboration of performers, audience, determination and leadership allow for the dancers’ gravity-defying grace and brilliance to soar. We are indebted to and blessed by all that ODC continues to create.”
– Mark Leno

Nibbi Brothers will be requesting the approval of a special Night Noise permit from the Department of Building Inspection.
The request will be for site mobilization for piles on the 400 China Basin St project for extended hours of 2:00am to 7:00am on July 19 thru July 20, 2022.
The purpose of the extended hours is to mobilize the site in preparation for beginning the pile driving process. Due to the sheer size of the piles and necessary long bed trucks delivering those piles, it is essential to perform this at night in order to minimize traffic impacts.
We will do our best to avoid any disruption and keep noise to a very minimum.
