Visit arts and crafts booths, food and beverage vendors, a kids’ zone, and a live-music stage at the Art & Wine Faire on Park Street in Alameda.

Gilroy Garlic Festival - July 28-30

The outdoor Gilroy Garlic Festival has garlicky food (pickles, fries, steak, calamari, and even ice cream) entertainment on three stages, live cooking contests, arts & crafts, wine tasting, and a children’s area.

Kite festival - July 29-30

Make a free kite or buy one at the Berkeley Kite Festival, which includes music, food, a kids’ zone, and kite-flying demonstrations at Berkeley Marina, with a free shuttle from the parking lot at Golden Gate Fields.
