Costume Contest Judging
Join in the fun as we showcase the spirit of our community through a lively costume contest! Costumes will be judged by you, our Mission Bay neighbors, through a fun and interactive cloud of applause! Categories include
Family/Group Costumes – The most imaginative and coordinated group or family outfits.
Kid Costumes – The cutest and most creative costumes worn by the little ones.
Most Creative Costume – The most innovative costumes that stand out from the crowd.

China Basin Park programming in full swing, we have some exciting events coming up
Take flight and join us for China Basin Park’s first FREE movie night with a screening of Top Gun on Saturday, October 12 starting at 6 p.m. on the Great Lawn. Bring your picnic blankets, enjoy food and drinks available for purchase and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Fleet Week.
Mission Rock, San Francisco’s newest neighborhood, is championing civic engagement through a non-partisan initiative, “Mission Rock the Election”. Mission Rock the Election reflects the neighborhood’s core values of connectivity, innovation and opportunity as we encourage our community members to actively participate in shaping their future by registering to vote, making a plan to vote and getting involved with their communities.
Voter Registration Event
On Saturday, October 19 from 2-7 p.m., China Basin Park at Mission Rock will host a voter registration event in collaboration with the San Francisco Department of Elections, and a free concert. Attendees can register to vote with the San Francisco Department of Elections while enjoying live music by Bayonics, a LuxFit HIIT class, a performance by CIN presented by Project Level, Budweiser giveaways, Rome’s Kitchen and Pita Gyros food trucks, drinks by Lady Victory, voting activities, getting involved with local community groups and more.
Accessible Voting
On Election Day, November 5, Studio at Verde (365 Toni Stone Crossing) will serve as a polling place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Other events such as fitness classes, family activities and more are also taking place at China Basin Park.
