THRIVE CITY ANNOUNCES 2026 SUMMER PROGRAMMING
Events Include Soccer Watch Parties, Pride Comedy Night, a Pickleball Tournament, Live Music, And More
SAN FRANCISCO — Thrive City has announced its 2026 summer programming schedule, which features over 80 free family-friendly events from June through August. Highlights include soccer watch parties, Pride Comedy Night, Paws-itively Summer, a third annual Pickleball Tournament, fitness classes, and more. Upcoming Thrive City events include:
- Soccer Fan Marches and Watch Parties – In celebration of this summer’s soccer tournament, Thrive City will host a variety of activations, including fan marches and watch parties of various games. On Friday, June 12, fans can support Team USA before their match against Paraguay by meeting at Crane Cove Park at 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, June 18, attendees can cheer on Team Mexico before they face South Korea on Thursday, June 18, with festivities beginning at the Pier 48 Ferry Dock at 4:30 p.m. Both activations will feature high-energy pre-match festivities including live music and giveaways before a marching band and spirit leaders march with the crowd to the Thrive City plaza at 5 p.m. to view the games on the video board.
- Soccer Viewings – In addition to the fan marches and watch parties, Thrive City will broadcast various soccer matchups from June 11 through July 19 on the video board. Lawn chairs will be available to guests on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Little Bears Music Classes – Little Bears returns to Thrive City with music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers on various Fridays starting June 5 through August 21. Parents have an opportunity to shake, rattle, and dance with their little ones with two different sessions: Little Bears Music Class for Babies & Toddlers (Ages 3 and under) from 10 to 11 a.m. and the Little Bears Music Class for Preschoolers (Ages 4 to 6) from 12 to 1 p.m.
- Pride Comedy Night – Pride Comedy Night returns to Thrive City for its fourth year on Friday, June 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Hosted by Sister Roma, attendees can expect an evening of laughter with comedians such as Akeem Woods, Justin Lucas, Tammy TeaLove, Stroy Moyd and more.
- Weekly
Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will host free weekly fitness classes from professional instructors on select Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Yoga, HIIT, Pilates and Stretch classes are open to all levels and will be offered on a rotating basis starting June 6 to August 22.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., dog parents can bring their furry friends to frolic and meet new friends in a pup park, swing by the caricature artist for a puppy portrait, drop by the arts & crafts station, take part in photo opportunities, and more.
- Live Music Lunch Series – Thrive City’s Live Music Lunch Series returns with special performances by Eddie Mininfield and Robyn Jackson on Tuesday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 23 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy the sunshine and grab a bite from one of Thrive City’s retailers while listening to live music from these local Bay Area musicians.
- Blankets & Blockbusters – Thrive City will continue its Blankets & Blockbusters series this summer with a screening of “Back to the Future” for 80’s night on Saturday, June 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. and “GOAT”, produced by and starring Stephen Curry, on Friday, July 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to the films, guests can enjoy themed activities, arts & crafts, photo opportunities, and more.
- DJ Classes – Blue Bear School of Music will host drop-in DJ workshops at Splash Sports Bar on select Wednesdays from July 1 through August 5. These sessions are part performance and part jam session, led by a professional DJ coach. No prior music experience is required for those interested in learning about the art of DJing.
- California Classic Fan Fest, presented by CarMax – Prior to the second day of games in the eighth annual California Classic, presented by CarMax, at Chase Center on Sunday, July 5, Thrive City will host a fan fest featuring a basketball sport court, live entertainment, face painting, lawn games, and more, all of which are free and open to the public.
- Thrive at Five – The Thrive at Five series returns to Thrive City this summer, including two distinct themed nights in which attendees are encouraged to enjoy live performances and dancing, while taking advantage of varied dining and beverage offerings from several Thrive City retailers. Country Line Dancing night will take place on Thursday, July 9, from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring live music and a line dance instructor. On Friday, August 14, from 5 to 10 p.m., Cozy Worldwide takes over Thrive at Five with a brand-new collaborative DJ experience featuring Bay Area DJs Miles Medina, Noodles, J. Espinosa, Anthony Midas, Flygerian Jeff, Shawn Looney, Ethan Dreams, and more going set-for-set blending hip-hop and R&B throwbacks.
- Weekend Wellness, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Refresh and reset at Thrive City’s Weekend Wellness, presented by Kaiser Permanente. On Sunday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can start the day with a yoga class by Vennu Yoga that combines the techniques of Pilates and calisthenics to promote relaxation and mindfulness. Following the class, guests can enjoy a farmer’s market with fresh produce and more.
- Pickleball Tournament – On Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, Thrive City will host its annual Pickleball Tournament. In its third year, the tournament will feature nine full-sized courts and capacity for over 200 teams to compete at all skill levels. Registration is required to participate, but the community is welcome to attend and observe matches as spectators.
- Harmonic Jam – On Sunday, August 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., fans can head to Harmonic Brewing to enjoy jam band tunes on Thrive City’s esplanade from Grøwler, Dead Set 805, and Stu Allen & Mars Hotel.
- Warriors Entertainment Teams Final Auditions – The 2026-27 Warriors Entertainment Team Final Audition for the Gold Squad, Blue Crew, Jr. Jam Squad, and the Hardwood Classics will be held on Sunday, August 9, from 1:30 – 4 p.m. The event will feature Franco Finn and DJ D-Sharp, as well as performers showcasing their passion for dance.
Thrive City, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, has hosted over 500 events since July 2023, all of which are open to the public and centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement.
