This is a pre-event notice to inform you that the San Francisco Giant Race presented by Alaska Airlines will be taking place at Oracle Park and in the surrounding area on Sunday, September 12, 2021. The event will affect city streets between the hours of 3:00 am and 12:00 pm. During this time, all or part of the roads near your location will be affected.
Street Closures: 3:30AM – 12:00PM Northbound Embarcadero from 2nd Street to Broadway Vehicles will be allowed across the Embarcadero only when safe to do so by SFPD. Pedestrians can pass intersections along the Embarcadero with assistance from SFPD and race personnel. This is a pre-event notice to inform you that there will be a public concert, the Hella Mega Tour, at Oracle Park on August 27th, 2021, from 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM. We hope the following information will help better prepare you for the event.
We have worked closely with the San Francisco Entertainment Commission to put a plan in place that will mitigate the sound impact in the neighborhoods surrounding the ballpark. If you experience any sound disturbances on August 27th, we will have a sound complaint hotline set up at Oracle Park to field calls. The sound complaint hotline number is 415-972-1771.
Our staff maintaining the sound complaint hotline will be in direct contact with the team monitoring the sound levels of the concert, allowing us to address any issues or complaints that arise. This enables us to monitor the situation in real time and collect valuable data so we can continue to improve the acoustical plans for future shows. While there are variables such as weather and speaker positioning that impact acoustical performance, we also rely on past experience and neighborhood feedback from previous shows to inform plans for this event.
