No tickets needed. Feel free to pack a picnic from home to enjoy after storytime.
Note: This event will be taking place at a location outside the San Francisco network of public libraries.

Come spend the day in the Fisherman’s Wharf District at Pier 39, Old Fisherman’s Wharf, Aquatic Park and Beach, and Ghirardelli Square.

Dept of Fish & Game’s Free Fishing Days for 2018: July 7 and September 1
On these days, you can fish without a sport fishing license. Free fishing days provide a great, low-cost way to give fishing a try.
While all fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours, and stream closures remain in effect, there are two days each year when anyone can fish without purchasing a fishing license.
- Aqua Vista: In San Francisco on China Basin Street between Pier 64 and Mission Rock Resort.
- Fisherman’s Wharf: There are a number of fishing platforms on wharfs extending form Pier 39 to Pier 45 to the Embarcadero in San Francisco.
- Mission Rock Pier: San Francisco; located at Aqua Vista Park, off China Basin Street, near Mission Rock Resort.
- Pier Seven: Located at the end of Broadway in San Francisco.

Movies at the Pier is a film series presented by the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association in the Triangle at Historic Pier 45.
FREE but an RSVP is required
Admission is free of charge and includes complimentary popcorn. Drink tickets are available for purchase; no outside beverages are allowed. Attendees are encouraged to BYOBB (bring your own bean bag); if you do not have a bean bag, seat cushion chairs will be provided.
Please come early to enjoy a drink on the pier and play a game of corn hole. Doors open at 7 pm; movie starts at 8 pm.

The Cannery Courtyard, located in Fisherman’s Wharf, will be hosting sixteen free public viewing events for the FIFA World Cup and World Rugby Sevens championships from June 15-July 22.
Viewers can watch the games on a large outdoor screen from the public courtyard, with limited seating, or from one of three restaurants on the courtyard with outdoor patios. Restaurants include Blue Mermaid Restaurant, Jack’s Cannery Bar, and Flying Ninja Sushi. San Francisco residents, tourists, and international visitors are all invited to cheer along at these festive and lively viewing events.
