The Yard’s Spring Opening and Neighbor Appreciation Day on March 16th!

Celebrate The Yard and its community as they welcome a new year of operation! Enjoy live music from the Whiskey Hill Billies from 3pm-6pm and free soccer games between 11am-7pm at the Street Soccer USA Park. The Yard will be open starting at 12 p.m. and will offer the following specials:

  • All Anchor brews at $5 a pint
  • Creperie Saint-Germain: A pint of IPA + a side of fries for $10
  • Belcampo’s famous Double Fast Burger for $5

In 2017, The Yard will be open every Thurs—Sun from 12 — 7pm and on Game Days 2hrs prior to first pitch — 1hr after first pitch. Go Giants!

 

Bouquets to Art: March 14-19

This annual spring exhibit returns for its 33rd year, featuring a variety of elegant and elaborate floral arrangements inspired by the museum’s paintings, sculptures and architecture. More than 120 Bay Area floral designers are featured in the exhibit, and a variety of events throughout the week include renowned guest speakers, a raffle of luxury goods and services, an opening gala inspired by French culture and daily luncheons. 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr., 415.750.3600, deyoung.famsf.org

California Academy of Sciences | Free Day For Mission Bay Dist.

Each San Francisco neighborhood (defined by zipcode) can visit the California Academy of Sciences for free over a three-day weekend (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) in the spring and fall of each year.

So that means as long as you have a driver’s license or other proof of residency, you can save yourself $34.95 and visit the museum for free. Read the full rules.

The Rules: Each visiting adult must show a valid photo ID with proof of residency (you may not bring out of town guests for free; they still have to pay). Visiting adults are limited to six children for free entry.

The following items or combinations are acceptable:

  • A driver’s license or state ID card
  • Photo ID plus postmarked envelope, postcard, or magazine label with name and date
  • Photo ID plus utility bill (gas/electric/cable) or bank statement
  • Letter from a government agency with name and home address (not a P.O. box)
  • Only residents from the zip codes invited on the designated dates will be admitted free of charge
