ARTISTSFollowGOODNIGHT, TEXAS (San Francisco CA)FollowRICHIE CUNNING (San Francisco, CA)
Celebrating San Francisco, the culture of its North Beach neighborhood, and most of all — LIVE music! The mix of music brings together seasoned pros with decades of performing chops and some Bay Area up-and-coming innovators and genre-remakers. Throw in some sweet reggae, jazz from three directions, excellent rock cover bands, lion and dragon dancing and it’s an all-ages treat sprinkled from Jackson to Chestnut Streets. An hour of sound bath at Glow Yoga is available for those who are ready to deeply chill or maybe just tune up their ears before heading out for the rest of the shows.
Our headliner — Goodnight, Texas — will be here in the midst of their U.S. tour. Our shindig is their stop between a massive fest in Redondo Beach the night before (opening for Jack Johnson), and their show at the Austin City Limits fest in October.
Tickets are on sale now at universe.com/alldaymusic. Ages 12+ are $45. Ages up to 11 are free. Ticket holders will redeem their tickets for wristbands at Club Fugazi (678 Green Street) to get into all the indoor All Day venues on September 23rd, 2023.
Musicians will be performing from morning until night at cafes, clubs and other spots all through North Beach. Many styles of music and performance are included… chances are you’ll find many to enjoy! About Sunset Piano
Mauro ffortissimo and Dean Mermell together launched Sunset Piano in 2013 when ffortissimo covertly rolled an old grand piano onto the bluffs over Half Moon Bay. As word spread through social media, the crowds grew way beyond the occasional dog walker. Thousands came to hear the music before the county ordered the piano removed. Since then, Sunset Piano has expanded this impromptu musical and social experiment, temporarily placing pianos in a wide variety of unexpected natural and urban settings around the Bay Area every year, from the top of Montara Mountain to Market Street. Flower Piano, a collaboration with San Francisco Botanical Garden, is Sunset Piano’s largest and most ambitious undertaking. Mermell’s documentary about Sunset Piano is entitled Twelve Pianos.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Some San Francisco residents are feeling fed up with a perceived lack of response from police and paramedics for handling street safety incidents.
In response to frustrations expressed from residents and merchants, the city is launching a new education campaign to help the public know who to call, and who will be dispatched to the scene for a behavioral health crisis.
For many incidents, even if you call 911, police officers will not respond. Instead, the city’s specialized street response teams will respond to help the person in crisis.Mayor: ‘Homeless coalition has held SF hostage for a decade’
The Coordinated Street Response Program is “focused on helping the public understand what to do when they see someone experiencing a behavioral health crisis on the street. We want people to know what to do, who to call, and how our specialized street response teams work together to meet the needs of the person in crisis,” officials with the Department of Emergency Management wrote.
Calling 911 puts you in contact with a dispatcher who will send the “most appropriate response team” for each situation, the Department of Emergency Management wrote.
911 dispatchers will likely ask you: Where is the emergency? What is happening? Who is involved? Is anyone hurt?
San Francisco’s street response teams are designed to reduce the need for police during a mental health crisis or drug use crises, city officials said.
You can request services, ask questions, and get information. 311 operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The 311 call-taker will assess the situation and may issue a service request, provide information, or direct the caller to the right place.
To learn more about the city’s street response teams, 911, and 311, you can go to www.sf.gov/oktocall
